There’s nothing wrong with plain vanilla if we are talking about ice cream. It goes well with apple pie or any other pies. But when it comes to your message about your business being plain vanilla…well…let’s talk.
Unless your business is a mega-corporation, going with the positioning of being plain vanilla isn’t a good strategy because appealing to the masses is a costly business. On top of that, plain vanilla isn’t memorable. Hence the saying goes, “If you try pleasing everyone, you please no one.”
But I get it. It’s easier said than done, right? We don’t want to miss out on opportunities. We want to play it safe so that we can be accepted without any criticism. I know. I know. I’ve been there.
This is why I'm hosting this free online training, "No More Plain Vanilla: The 3-Step Formula for Unlocking Your Profitable Niche" next week so that you'll know what to do to make your business stand out, be seen & be valued.
From my experience, blending in to be widely acceptable didn’t really happen. I blended in alright, but I wasn’t widely acceptable. Once I made a decision to just go all-in with who I am, what I’m capable of offering, and being clear on non-negotiables…, though, things started to shift. For real.
I was getting more inquiries about guest appearances for podcasts, guest-posting, and other opportunities. Pitching for collaborations became super easy, too! (By the way, this doesn’t mean they say yes to all my pitches. It means I get yes or no very clearly so I don’t waste my time.)
Are you interested in learning how to unlock your profitable niche & go all-in as who you truly are? If so, register here! I'll see you in a week!
